"It was a great experience working with the camera, I'd never done that before and it was also cool to work with adults on the documentary. I learned how to operate the camera and interview people."

Early this year, Remedee launched a groundbreaking year-round film program at a new charter high school in South Los Angeles, Fernando Pullum Performing Arts High School (part of the Inner City Education Foundation). Students receive daily hands-on instruction in storytelling, interviewing, shooting, recording sound, editing and more. Their final assignment is to make a short documentary on an issue or person important to them.
On top of daily classroom instruction - taught by an award-winning director/teacher - film industry mentors play an important role in production (and general support in life) outside of the classroom.
