REEL EARTH FLIP IT VIDEO CONTEST

WHAT: A contest. (The winner gets a $100 Best Buy gift card.)

WHEN: Now. (Videos must be completed and uploaded by January 25, 2009).

Using your Flip cameras, make a video that addresses the following purposefully vague question: What do you want people to know about New Orleans?

Feel free to tackle the good, the bad, and/or the ugly. Be as creative as you possibly can. Tell us what you want us (and everybody else) to know.

THE RULES

1. Use your Flip camera to create a video (under ten minutes in length) that addresses the question: What do you want people to know about New Orleans?

2. You can edit (the Flip camera has some very basic software) or not edit your work as you see fit. You will not be penalized for lack of editing.

3. You must upload your video to the YouTube group “Reel Earth Flip It Video Contest” by January 25, 2009. No late submissions will be accepted. [The YouTube group can be found at www.youtube.com/group/reelearthflip. You must join the group to upload your video. You must have a YouTube account to join the group.]

4. To be eligible to win the prize, all students must also create an account at remedee.org. (See “How to Create an Account on Remedee.org” for instructions.)

5. The winner will be announced on the remedee.org website on Monday, February 2 and will receive a $100 Best Buy gift card.
