Remedee believes in the power of participant, community-oriented media. We provide the support, resources and facilitation necessary for communities to build their own capacity to tell their stories.
We establish community partnerships so that local people are at the center of our programs -- those who understand the needs of their community, and can serve as plausible role models to our young participants, defying Hollywood stereotypes of what a successful filmmaker or media professional should look like.
In line with this philosophy, we strive to keep our core staff and overhead to a minimum while expending most of our funds on community projects. In order to expand and sustain our programs locally and worldwide, we need your help.
Your contribution will go toward equipment, initial travel to jumpstart local programs, camps (facility rental, food, buses, supplies, etc), student transportation, community screenings, seed funding for participant-derived community projects, and other expenses to enable important stories across the globe to be heard across the globe.
